Your history of electric usage data helps us assemble your site assessment.

The completed site assessment is an important decision making tool for you to use when you consider whether solar is a good investment for your home.

Residential Job Process and Timeline

Step 1 – Contact Convert Solar, then the process typically flows like this:

  • Convert Solar collects your property address and a copy of the property electric bill.

  • Preliminary solar site assessment is completed for you by our team.

  • Convert Solar schedules an in-person site visit to walk the site, explain system options, discuss the financial analysis, system output, and answer client questions.

  • You, as our prospective client will now have the information necessary to make an informed decision.

  • At this point, we may be able to get you a finalized site assessment and job quote very quickly.

  • Once you decide to move forward, we will get a signed net metering form from your utility provider, and close contract details with signatures and a deposit.

  • Next, we’ll order materials, file net metering paperwork with utility, submit permit packages, and schedule an installation date.

  • Installation typically takes about 2 – 3 days if weather is good for safe working conditions.

  • Following installation, final inspections are scheduled and the utility company will be scheduled to perform the new meter swap.

  • Once inspections are passed and the net meter is installed, the job is complete and you can start enjoying the benefits of your new solar power system.

  • It is not unusual for a homeowner to have his or her new system fully operational in as little as 4 weeks from the first phone call till the final inspection!
